HISTORY

1951

Shibuya Yasuhiro founded the confectionery wholesale business "Shibuya Shoten" in Hayase-cho, Fukushima City.

1957

Shibuya Shoten Limited Liability Company was established.

1969

The company relocated and established a new office building in Kamata, Fukushima City. The name was changed to "Shibuya Confectionery and Food Wholesale Co., Ltd."

1973

The cash wholesale division was established. The name was changed to "KASTMAR."

1983

Shibuya Shoji Co., Ltd. was established as a wholesale division for the leisure industry.

1991

  • Shibuya Katsuhiro became Representative Director and President.
  • Shibuya Yasuhiro became Chairman of the Board.

1997

  • The company moved to a new office building in Kitayanome, Fukushima City.
  • The KASTMAR Division was relocated to Minamiyanome, Fukushima City.
  • The company name was changed to Shibuya Rex Co., Ltd.
  • Shibuya Shoji Co., Ltd. was renamed "Depic Co., Ltd."

1999

  • The company began selling its original confectionery brand, "Natsukashiya."

2005

  • Representative Director and President Shibuya Katsuhiro passed away.
  • Junko Shibuya was appointed Representative Director and President.
  • Capital was increased to 20 million yen.

2006

Implemented new systems for sales management and logistics management.

2011

Damaged by the Great East Japan Earthquake.

2012

Renovated the sweets specialty store "KASTMAR."

2014

Commenced direct exports to overseas sales channels.

Launched the in-house brand "Mogu Mogu-chan Series."

2015

  • Celebrated the 60th anniversary of Shibuya Rex Co.,Ltd.
  • Founded affiliate company "TUKKUL Co., Ltd."

2016

  • Founder Yasuhiro Shibuya passed away.
  • Founded the Fukushima Cross-Border Consortium LLC,
  • with participation from Shibuya Rex Co., Ltd. Poncrisp brand products.

2017

  • Takashi Shibuya was appointed Executive Managing Director. Yuji Shibuya was appointed Representative Director and CEO.
  • Junko Shibuya was appointed Representative Director and Chairman.
  • Received the Special Award at the 2nd Fukushima Economy, Industry, and Manufacturing Awards (Fukushima Industry Awards) from the Fukushima Minpo Press.

2018

  • Relaunched Natsukashiya brand products and began e-commerce sales.
  • Received the Fukushima Chamber of Commerce and Industry's Excellent Member Business Awards and Regional Contribution Award.

2022

  • Affiliated company Depic Co., Ltd. began a confectionery bagging service.
  • Opened the Shizuoka Logistics Center.
  • Fully renovated the first floor of the head office.

2023

  • Received the Special Award (JNB Chairman's Award) in the Global Category of the Japan New Business Creation Awards.
  • Received the Tohoku New Office Promotion Award at the 36th Nikkei New Office Awards.

2024

  • Opened the Hokkaido Logistics Center.
